The Vineyard
For Amandolea Superior, various vineyards are used, cultivated on the hills of Bova.
Grape Variety
100% Calabrese, cultivated in bush vine style. Calabrese, more commonly known as Nero D'Avola, takes its name from the city of Avola in the province of Siracusa.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested around September and undergo a 14-day maceration phase. Subsequently, the wine matures for 3 months in stainless steel containers and 10 months in barriques.
Aging
Bottle aging for 10 months.
Pairing
It pairs well with game, baked pasta, stew, and pasta alla Norma.
